Where do I go and what do I do?

There are currently two abortion facilities in Akron, visited by women from Summit and its surrounding counties. Usually, only one is open at a time. The maps below show where you may park and stand at each location.

All of your actions as a vigil participant must be peaceful and reflect God's love for all people.

Here are some guidelines:

Show compassion to all abortion facility employees and customers; do not threaten, physically contact, or verbally abuse
Remain on public property (sidewalk) or property with permission given (see maps); do not stand on clinic property or obstruct driveways or sidewalks
Cooperate with local city authorities
Come with a compassionate attitude (we must love the woman, not just the baby)
Get the woman's attention by saying something like, "Excuse me, can I give you some information?"
Let the woman know there is help for her if she would choose to make a different decision, and provide her with contact information for a local pregnancy care center (brochures are available - call 330-762-2785 to pick some up)
There may be "escorts" who will walk up with the women to the door. They will talk to the woman to prevent her from listening to you. You may still try to get her attention and try to give her a brochure. Please pray for these escorts.
